Stifle Ann Coulter and Relieve Our Misery

Ham on Wry debated whether to write this blog and give Ann Coulter further publicity, which is obviously her mainstay in life.  I erred on the side of writing it because she said something so incredibly stupid, I can't let it go. No, I'm not talking about her comment that "our blacks are so much better than their blacks," referring to conservative blacks as superior to liberal blacks on Sean Hannity's show Monday night.  Yes, that was a ridiculous statement, but her babble on the Joy Behar Show Tuesday indicates that she doesn't reside on Planet Earth, or maybe she simply ignores newspapers, e-mails, or any form of written material in spouting her version of the "truth."

In response to Behar's offer to clarify her previously quoted remark, she said, "Ours (blacks) are just more impressive. There's just no question about that."  Ham on Wry feels certain that she didn't find that statistic anywhere in a research study.  Instead of stopping there, she continued, "When Michael Steele was running for Senate, liberals showed up and rolled Oreos down the aisle at him.  The only racism you hear is against conservative blacks--and it is vicious."  Where have you been, Ms. Coulter?

Perhaps Coulter was spared the proliferation of e-mails accusing Barack Obama of being a Muslim, a non-citizen, unworthy of a Harvard law degree, and various other allegations.  Apparently, she has been out of touch for the past three years.  Sadly, I guess she doesn't realize that just stating a claim that one set of blacks is better than another is racist by its very nature.  I doubt that any conservative black would consider her quote complimentary.  This isn't the only time her racism has come to the forefront.  Someone needs to pull the plug on Coulter before she can no longer extract her foot from her mouth, although she does have ample room to insert it there.

From where do these so-called pundits come?  Don't bother to point out facts or statistics to them.  They'd rather waste air time ranting and spouting catch phrases than to actually offer well-researched commentary for consideration.  Ann Coulter obviously has a fondness for just one thing--the sound of her own voice.
