The Wonderful World of the Florida Legislature Part Two
Posted on 13:16 by Unknown
A blog reader posted a comment about the proposed "Open Carry" law in Florida citing statistics about other states. It didn't change my opinion one iota. If those who enforce the law see problems with it, so do I. My objection to "Open Carry" lies in the confusion it causes if police are called to a crime scene, find several people with guns, and don't have time to determine who has a permit to carry. I don't believe that police and sheriff's organizations would object so vehemently, if they didn't foresee it causing confusion and greater risk to officers and citizens. Many legislators probably own guns, but not many use them to enforce the law. Let's trust those who do to speak for us.
