Women, we now know who stands with us, and who is trying to dictate laws that narrow women's choices. The Senate Republicans should hang their collective heads in shame. Women will remember this affront.
As the bill's sponsor, Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri deserves a special kind of scorn and a tongue lashing from his female constituents. As for Ham on Wry, Blunt deserves no additional space in this post. If it were left to me, he would be voted out so he wouldn't have a chance heap his narrow-mindedness on us again.
Ham on Wry has much more to write on this topic, but for now, let's all rejoice in the fact that women will have an option to use birth control offered by their health care plans. Notice I used the word option. No one can force a woman to use birth control. It's a choice every woman must make for herself, based on her beliefs. Fortunately, the Democrats understand that principle and don't want to take away the choice because some people object.
